About The Temple

The origins of Shree Ayyappa Temple in Sector-23, Faridabad date back to 1972, when devotees began conducting poojas and bhajans at private residences. With growing devotion, an Ayyappa idol was installed at the present site on 2 November 1982. Despite early administrative challenges and temporary demolition of the initial structure, persistent efforts by devotees led to the site being regularised, and a small Kerala-style temple was constructed in 1985.

Between 1990 and 1992, the temple underwent systematic reconstruction in strict accordance with traditional Kerala temple architecture and shastras, focused on the design of the Sabarimala Temple. The foundation stone for the new Sree Kovil was laid on 27 January 1991, followed by the Adhishtana Shilasthapanam on 18 October 1991. The construction was completed in 1992, fulfilling a long-cherished vision of the Malayalee community in Faridabad.

A major spiritual highlight of the temple is its Annual Utsavam, formally known as the Thrikkodiyettu Mahotsavam, which begins on the Uthram Nakshatram of Thulam Masam as per the Malayalam calendar. Initiated in 1992, the Utsavam has been observed without interruption, and the year 2025 marked the 34th Thrikkodiyettu Mahotsavam, reflecting the temple’s enduring spiritual legacy and continuity of worship.

Currently the temple has Sree Ayyappa Swami in his Dharmasastha form as the presiding deity and Lord Ganapathy, Lord Shiva, Ardhanareeshwaran (Shiva-Parvathy Unified Form) & Brahmarakshas as additional deities in the temple.
